Your holiday prep doesn’t end with the packing of your case however. To give you a better idea of what to expect on arrival at your villa, we take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions to give you a real head start on making the most of your dream villa holiday.

Food

Each James villa has a fully kitted kitchen waiting for you. Wonderful! If you’re savvy, you’ll also have added a welcome pack to your booking. In which case – voila! You’ll have a tasty selection of items to kick off your holiday, with a variety of bread, ham, cheese and crisps, served with hot or cold drinks. Because once arrived, you’ll want to head to the pool and not the shops!

Towels and bed linen

Go jump in the pool, the beds have already been made for you! The only bed-making you’ll be doing is if you ordered a cot, then you will need to take the linen along for it.

There will be plenty of towels for everyone to use in the bathrooms but do pop your own beach towels in your suitcase and check to see if your villa provides pool towels. You can find this information in the villa description on our website.

Naturally with kids in tow, you can never have too many beach towels, there’s always one towel that gets caked in sand or ends up in the pool!

Hairdryer

Oh the luxury of letting your hair dry naturally in the warm sunshine! If you do want to style your tresses though, most villas come with a hairdryer (just check the villa description to find out for sure). If you want to step out super styled, remember to pop your straighteners or curling tongs in your suitcase.

Travel adaptor plug

The kids will have drained the juice on their tablets during the journey. The teens will want to jump on the villa Wi-Fi, and mum is busy taking photos to share on Facebook (don’t forget to tag us). Oh, and let’s not forget the grandparents with their fully-loaded Kindles either!

Do remember to take travel adaptors with you. Then everyone can recharge and enjoy their own personal online space whenever they wish.

Insect repellent

Always a good idea when going abroad, pop it in your bag when you are out on day trips, or buy a sunscreen with an insect repellent included.

First aid kit

Some, but not all, of our villas have a first aid kit. To be on the safe side pop a few basics in your bag; plasters, antibacterial cream, painkillers for children (just in case) and adults too (that extra glass of ouzo seemed such fun at the time).

If anything more than a hangover or grazed knee occurs, our villa managers are on hand and can direct you to the local chemist and help with translation too.

Local information

Lots of our villas have information of things to do and see in the area. Your villa manager can pop in for a chat during your first few days – just set a time that is convenient to you and they will be more than happy to fill you in on great places to eat and places to visit locally. They know where the best supermarkets are and can offer plenty of top tips to make sure your holiday runs smoothly.

Top tip
